Our Bible study is held the second and fourth Monday of each month from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the library at St. Alban’s. This Bible study is discussion oriented. No previous knowledge of the topic is required; and, while consistent attendance is helpful, one does not need to be in constant attendance to join in the discussion. We are currently studying the Gospel of Luke, and we are using N.T. Wright’s discussion guide for Luke. Copies of the discussion guide are available at no cost. Biblical interpretation is more art than science. It is a conversation with the biblical text in its historical and social context. The Scriptures are the Word of God and at the same time the word of its human authors.
