Joy and fun come to those children attending St. Alban's church school each Sunday morning while they learn important lessons about God.

This year our parish will be using the "Living the Good News" curriculum in Church School. What makes this curriculum special?

1. It is lectionary based. That means that each week prior to the church service, we will use interactive flannel-graph stories to explore in depth the stories you will hear read aloud during the church.
2. It invites us to learn by doing. Sure, we will talk about what we have heard and seen, but we will also point, draw, act, cook, create crafts, play games and, most of all, figure out together how to take what we find into our everyday world.

The Eucharist proclaims the word and nourishes us for our journey. Christian education invites us to explore the word and helps us map out that journey. But it is back home, in our particular households, that the Word comes alive and the journey is walked.

You can find the gospel for each Sunday listed in the parish bulletin or at the back of the "Book of Common Prayer." Each week, on Saturday evening, parents and children can prepare together for Sunday morning.

Church School will meet each Sunday morning throughout the year.  Ages 4 through Kindergarten meet in room 2.   Grades 1-5 meet in room 1.  Grades 6 and up meet in room 3.  Children are welcomed to join Church School classes anytime during the year.
